Enjoy the heaven-sent deliciousness of Tres Leches Cupcakes by Rolling Sin. There are three kinds of milk in these moist and rich cupcakes, and a hint of cinnamon on top makes them a perfect sweet treat for any event.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon optional

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt

In another bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes

Gradually add the melted butter and vanilla extract to the egg-sugar mixture, mixing well

Fold in the dry ingredients, alternating with the whole milk, until the batter is smooth

Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean

While the cupcakes are baking, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream in a bowl

Once the cupcakes are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes

While they are still warm, poke holes in each cupcake with a fork or toothpick

Slowly pour the milk mixture over each cupcake, allowing it to soak in

Let the cupcakes cool completely in the pan, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the milk mixture to set

Before serving, dust the cupcakes with powdered sugar and, if desired, a sprinkle of ground cinnamon
