Ingredients:
- 2 slices of whole-grain bread
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 4-6 thin apple slices
- 2-3 slices of cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions:
Spread Dijon mustard on one side of each bread slice
Place apple slices on top of the mustard-covered side of one bread slice
Layer cheddar cheese slices on top of the apples
Top with the second bread slice, mustard-side down, creating a sandwich
Spread butter on the outside of both slices of bread
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat
Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until the bread turns golden brown and the cheese melts, about 3-4 minutes per side
Remove from the skillet and let it cool for a minute before slicing and serving
