Ingredients:
- 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chunks or chips
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line two baking sheets with parchment paper
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy
Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined
Fold in the semisweet chocolate chunks or chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough
Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving some space between each cookie
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers are still slightly soft
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
Enjoy your delicious Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies
